FINDING GOD IN THE WOODS
| Hello Wesley, We are excited to announce the beginning of a new experience, Church in the Woods. While many at Wesley meet in the sanctuary, others will have our first experience November 12 at Hillsborough River State Park. The Park opens at 8 am. There is a $6 / car fee to enter. We have reserved Pavilion 10. There are several Tiki huts and we have also reserved two grills. We plan to have lunch together so bring what you would like to grill and something to share, like a pot luck. Bring drinks as well, no alcohol permitted in the park. There will be a service at 10 am by the river. |
| The park has beautiful hiking trails, a place to rent kayaks, and we will be planning games for the children and adults, as well as an art activity. Address: 15402 US Highway 301 North Phone: 813-688-9500 Some folks will be camping there November 11 and there are limited sites available. You could also group camp if a couple of families want to go together. If you want to rent a canoe or kayak, you need to make a reservation. There is a launch there for a canoe or kayak if you have your own. We are planning to have Church in the Woods the second Sunday of each month November thru April at various locations around Central Florida while the service at the church will continue at the regular hour, 10 am.
