Quote of the Week
I grew up a Baptist and went to seminary at Methodist school, Duke University, but I also don't worry too much about denominations. I love what John Wesley said - "If our hearts are together, let's not worry about whether our heads are together. If our hearts are together, then let's joins hands." So, I try to do that regardless of denominations. - - Randall Wallace

My we are in strange times. With the rise in covid cases and an increasing demand on hospital beds in ICU units here in Hillsborough County, along with a worship team member exhibiting a fever, leadership has decided to go back to livestreaming services beginning this Sunday, June 28th only through the end of July. There will be one livestream service at 11:15 AM ET for everyone. Please stay home and stay safe.
This is not what any of us want to hear but it is the safe play and shows concern for others. The services will be live and not recorded. Invite others and maybe watch together at a watch party. Another great chance for evangelism. Who knows? By the time this is over we may actually have finished Luke.
I have been watering my lawn by hand trying to get the grass to grow. Early in the morning I water for about 30 minutes and each morning black and white butterflies descend to get a drink off the blades of grass. They seem to know now when I am there. I know that for many of us gathering at Wesley is what we need to nourish our souls. We will be together soon. Sing at every occasion you can, laugh with someone, learn from God’s word something good for your soul, and then something challenging. My prayer for you is the same as Paul’s prayer for the Philippians: “may your love abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:9-10
May our God protect and keep you.
I love being your pastor,

Congratulatory Letter from the FMC Treasurer
I am writing to thank you for your faithful living as disciples of Jesus Christ by giving 100 percent of your apportionments for 2019.
Over the years, I have learned that a sign of a healthy congregation is full support of the rest of the connection. You are the ones who have a joy in God’s gifts, given in abundance, and who are practicing a spirit of generosity that points to a larger vision of the Church as a communion of congregations in common mission and ministry to the world. We appreciated all of you continued support in the current difficult times and pray that you and your congregation continue to thrive.

Update from Vacation Bible School (VBS)
We are working hard on preparing the sets for our virtual VBS this year! It is going to be an amazing adventure - for ALL of us! We just want to provide some additional details: VBS will be held from 6-8 pm nightly 7/13-7/17/20.
Everything will be pre recorded and then we'll post the recording on Youtube. It will sent to all who registered on the link. We selected the Youtube format in lieu of Zoom as it will allow more viewing - we hope to reach as many kids as possible.
Once it is posted you can view it at anytime. Age limit? Any age can attend but just a bit of info for the very young kids since the crafts are "geared for ages 4 through 5th grade". Please keep this in mind for the 'little ones'.
Just a reminder again, please make sure you register by 7/1/20 (each child individually) to insure that we reserve a kit for them. The kids will be able to pick up their VBS kits and when they do they will be about to tour the sets and meet the actors!
Our prayer is that Parents will enjoy this time together with their children learning more about our AMAZING GOD! God bless you and keep you safe, we can't wait to "see" you on the Rocky Railway!
