We are entering our 2275th game of solitaire. Yikes. There are many amazing stories all around us. Just today two people texted me and asked me to give their stimulus checks to someone who really needs it. I am amazed. I have asked ministry team leaders to share their victory stories over the next few weeks, so you will be hearing about some great work being carried out here at Wesley. Along with live streaming our worship services on Sundays, I have started a live stream Bible Study on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 am. It is recorded, so you can watch it later in the week.
I am also trying to text everyone to check in and so that everyone has my cell number. So you can text me with any news, any time. 813-352-3204. Be sure to watch our livestream worship 11 am on Sunday on either facebook or the website. Incidentally, there are two Wesley facebook pages, so be sure to go to the new one. And be sure to share the worship and invite others to attend. I have gotten word that my nieces and nephews all around the country have been watching, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Virginia and more. I had no idea it would be this powerful. This week I will be chatting with Jennifer Foster about some of the great things Bridges is doing.

As we enter into another week of staying at home and listening to God’s word through the Livestreaming of worship services, I would like to thank the dedicated members of the Worship Team - Jean Rowe, Gail Parker, and Diane Flanders; Praise Band Team – Arnel Senson, Jeff Davis, Mauricio Rodriguez and Sean Bell; Sound Team, Danny Parker and Jensen Bennett; Media Team – Tim Bell and Jose Benson; and Pastor Ernie Post for their support and help to bring the livestream message to all of us.
We all miss the social interaction with each other but realize the importance of social distancing and being safe, healthy, and responsible. The programs of Feeding the Homeless, Roger Hyde and Herman Small, and Pack A Sack, Shaun Black, Jamie Wright, are still sharing their Love with Others during these difficult times.
The Shepherding, Road Runner, Mask, and Prayer Teams are answering the call as a “Tip of the Flame” to all. Thank you for making those calls and delivering the message of hope and love to everyone at Wesley Memorial.
Shepherding Team This Team takes the names of members to call once a week and check on them and find out if they need anything. A simple script has been developed along with a list of members and contact information. Susan Ivins, Jean Rowe, Tom Edwards, Nancy Blunk, Linda Bell, Shaun Black, Mary Lynne Gonzalez/Louise Coster, Paula Walker, Terri Davis, Janis/Herman Small
Mask Team This team responds to requests for surgical caps needed by doctors and nurses. They also respond to individual requests for protective face masks to use while running outside errands. Thanks to Nancy Blunk, Kalyani Nehate, and Kathy Gruver.
Road Runner Team This Team acts as a delivery team to secure and deliver supplies and needs to the members in need of help - - Nadia Nunez Wood, Cindy Harrell, and Dee Carmichael.
Prayer Team This Team will be handled by Fran Mobley through request on the website and from Shepherds.
If YOU would like to be a part of one of these Teams and help bring light into the darkness, please contact Tom Edwards at [email protected] or text to 813-624-3816 today.
