Many of us never think about a doctor until its too late. Some of us know that we should go and see a doctor, but we don't go because we are afraid that the doctor might find something we don't want to know about. And some of us never ever had a cold in our lives, so who needs a doctor? This Sunday, Mr. Tom will teach the children who needs a doctor and why.

The Kids had a fantastic time on Saturday Evening (2/15/20) when we featured the Star Wars - A New Hope' movie.
For the last few weeks, we had been studying how the Bible influenced the Star Wars story so we decided to compare the New Hope in the Bible to the New Hope in Star Wars. 'Star Wars - A New Hope' was the first film released of the Star Wars series and it showed the kids never to lose hope. In real life, the kids have been learning that in the Bible, Jesus is our New Hope and to never lose hope in Him.
For this fun night, some of the kids dressed in character, brought their pillows and all of us had "pod racers or Star Fighters" to sit in and enjoy the movie.

Here are some more photos of the fun we had together! Just Click on Saturday Movie Night to see the photos. And stay tuned for our next MOVIE NIGHT!

We are grateful for Amber and Derek Vacura for staying and helping!

Good News for the Media Luna Methodist Church
Since 2016, the MUIP ministry, realizing the great need of clean water in Cuba to prevent diseases and epidemics, found a way through Agape flights to take water system purifiers to Cuba. This freestanding system has the capability of killing bacteria and viruses, producing a continuous supply of water at a rate of 13.24 liters per minute, so it may be used by a large number of persons.
In 2019, fundraising efforts were directed to get one of these systems for the Niquero Methodist Church, the closest temple to Media Luna MC (which is a house-church). Niquero Church is officially recognized by the Cuban government as a Methodist Church in Cuba since it was built prior to 1959.
After much prayer for God’s favor to get this system safely to Cuba, news was received that 10 purification systems had arrived in Cuba and one of them would soon be delivered and installed in Niquero Methodist Church. Our Cuban brothers and sisters are rejoicing as soon they will be able to have clean water to drink and bathe. Thank you, Lord!.

The Cornerstone Wonder Walk is coming up March 7th at 8 am at Hyde Park UMC. It's a beautiful walk down Bayshore Blvd. to raise money to provide a safe place for children to learn and grow in Tampa's inner city. If you can't walk or run, please support a walker with your donations.

'Have a Heart, Grab a Heart' Month
February marks our 2nd year in partnering with our very own Bridges Preschool. Bridges families have adopted Pack a Sack for the month of February…and we are very grateful.
Last year the school collected OVER 3700 food items for Pack A Sack…it was a lot of fun and really heartwarming to see all these families helping out a ministry that is literally their neighbor. They called it 'Have A Heart, Grab a Heart' and you would have seen collection boxes, and hearts pasted all around the preschool and church. Right away, the Bridges and families collected a ton of food.
This year, you can see the Round 1 collection effort being made by Bridges Preschool in following picture below.
Thank you to Nadia and Jennifer for the support and big hugs to all our Bridges Families.
If you would like to participate, just grab a heart that you may find pasted and drop in one of the Boxes…all are invited to help.
If you have any questions about Pack a Sack or purchasing items, you can always ask me at church on Sunday or feel free to call me Jamie Wright @ 813/967-3800 or contact Shaun Black.
