"Yes sir, those people were very nice to me, fed me everyday, and kept dry me under a nice roof, but I sure am glad that I got away from them", said the Thankful Turkey to his small and growing smaller circle of friends. Did you know that Mr Tom knows how to talk Turkey? In that case, come and listen during Children's Moment when he explains what happened to The Thankful Turkey!

Sharing Our Stories
Storytelling gives us the opportunity to share a little about something that happened this week in our life — something relatable, something seemingly mundane at first. We can then take that relatable story and use it to teach or reinforce a theological concept. This can have three positive outcomes. To learn about the 3 positive outcomes, click here.

Sharing YTD success information for Pack a Sack.
Since our first delivery this school year, we have packed and delivered 743 bags, with an average of 13 food items per bag, for a total of 9,659 food items, since September 6th.
Thank you everyone for your help packing bags in August, for your food donations and monetary donations and of course to our corporate sponsors. Without all of you, none of this would be possible. You are making a difference in these children’s lives. If you are interested in picking up a few items to help us restock our shelves in preparation for December, here are a few current needs:
- Jif to go peanut butter cups – 1.5 oz.
- Belvita Breakfast biscuits – kid friendly flavors
- Veggie Cups – 4 oz. cups – any type
- These are found in the can vegetable isle
- Chef Boyardee – 7.5 oz – red lid
If you have any questions about Pack a Sack or purchasing items, you can always
ask me at church on Sunday or feel free to give me a call @ 813/967-3800.
Please continue to pray for this ministry…and please include these school administrators and teachers. They are overwhelmed with shortage of teachers, admin help and trying to meet the needs of these children and their families.

Cold Night Shelter
Needed! - Wesley Volunteers to staff the cold weather shelter at Jackson Springs Park. The shelter opens when the weather forecast predicts the temperature to go below 40 degrees. We are looking for volunteers that can do a 3 to 4 hour shift when the shelter is open. We want to have many volunteers so no one has to do a shift more than one night in a row. Please be a part of this important ministry to serve the homeless in our neighborhood.
Also, we need to start gathering supplies. We always need gloves, socks, and scarves. For more information or to volunteer, please contact Nancy Blunk at 813 -966 -1496
