Flowers at the Altar 1
Quote of the Week -- "Doubt may be one of the prices we pay for not reading our Bible." Leonard G. Clough

He calls us “friend”

Jesus had complicated friendships. The disciples wanted to know which of them was his favorite. Some rich friends didn’t want him to have poor friends, and no one wanted him to befriend the tax collector. But Jesus calls us “friends” and asks us to step out of our fears, to reach out in love and to befriend and defend those who need it most.
Question of the day: How comfortable are you initiating friendships?
Focal scriptures: Matthew 5:43-48; Matthew 5:1-12; Luke 5:33-38

Pack a Sack

388 bags packed

What a wonderful celebration for Pack a Sack Sunday.
It was amazing to see so many of you participate in Pack a Sack Sunday. It was a lot of fun to see everyone enjoying the process and learning more about Pack a Sack and what we provide, and how much it takes to keep this ministry going, etc. We thought it was very impactful and JOYful for all.

We packed 388 bags with over 5044 food items so - Great Job Wesley!
I’ve heard from a quite a few of you that you’d like to have another PAS Sunday, so we’re in the midst of planning that now so stay tuned.
Sacks are Ready to Go
Thank you again Wesley for once again rising to the occasion and really making such a huge difference in our community. Remember to continue to pray for these bags and for the children and their families.

With love,
All the Pack a Sack volunteers
