I want to thank you for eleven years of ministry with the most compassionate and loving people I know. The time has come for me to say goodbye. Thank you for being you and standing with me during the most difficult five-year time of my personal life. I will never forget your love. I have walked this campus and circled our beautiful sanctuary nearly 7,500 times praying for you through your trials and even when all was well. I have prayed for you by name, for your spouse, your children and even your grandchildren. Over the last five years, my prayer for all of you has been the same: “that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.” Philippians 1:9-11.

This decision was mine, not the conference or the leadership of Wesley. I believe this gives both of us the best chance for hope into the future. God has great things in store for Wesley. May His hope fill you unto overflowing. I will continue to serve you until June and then we both get a chance at a fresh start. May God increase faith in us all.

The members, friends and family of Congregation Schaarai Zedek in South Tampa are hosting a (FREE) traditional Christmas Dinner for the community in the FLC Fellowship Hall at Wesley Memorial Church. Pick up or dine in meals are available. They will also have clothing, toiletries and other items as gifts to help those in need.

Silver Saints had their Christmas Luncheon last Saturday. In their hands they are holding up socks they are donating for Christmas goodie bags for Habana Health Care.

Wanted to give an update on Pack a Sack! So far, all is going smoothly with the addition of Webb Middle school and they are very grateful to be part of the ministry and have been thrilled to work with us to provide. We are currently serving 190 children PER WEEK. 100 for Dickinson, 50 for Town n’ Country and 40 for Webb. What a blessing our church is to our community. With 190 children – we are certainly in need of a lot of inventory. We continue to collect the following food items if you’d like to
participate. You can bring to the church during normal business hours or drop on Sundays. We have some shelves in the copy room so feel free to place there.

If you are able and want to help, we are always in need of the following:
Small boxes of raisins
Juice boxes or pouches
Peanut Butter Crackers – sleeves of 6
|
If you would like to come and help us pack, we’d love to have you. If you have a small group (company team building, girl scout troop, bible study group) we can arrange for a time for your group to come in and pack! It’s fun and very rewarding. SOUL PAINTING FOR ADVENT

We invite you to select a Soul Painting card below the Advent calendar in the back of the overflow area and share with a random person during the Advent Season.

If you have not yet picked up your Advent book, there are some at the tables in the back of the sanctuary. Feel free to share one with a family member, friend or neighbor.

The Advent book is available free of cost to the Wesley and Bridges family. However, if you would like to make a donation to help defray the printing cost, please include in a marked envelope and put in the offering plate or bring by the office.

NURSERY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
