a note from Pastor Ernie
Hello Wesley,
As we enter the advent season, I am excited to offer you our now completed Advent Devotional booklet which will be available in church this week and then at the office. The booklet is the result of many hours of work through our soul painting this fall and brings us words of hope, peace, love and joy during this advent season.

One of the theme verses for advent is Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you
with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope be the power of the Holy Spirit.” And that is our prayer for all and for Wesley this Advent Season. May we be so filled with hope that it overflows to all we meet. May the God of hope fulfill in us His desire for His people. I pray you serve as a witness of hope, peace, love and joy this Christmas season.

I love being your pastor,
Ernie
Please join us Friday to help decorate the church and lift up in prayer those who have a difficult time during the Christmas Season, those who are suffering an illness, those who have lost a loved one, those who feel all alone.

Also, we will have the Soul Painting Advent Booklets to start distributing.
Our hope is that you will pass them along to others to share the love of Christ.
Please note there is a time correction for Old McMickey's Farm
from previous advertisement!

Pack a Snack 4 Kids logo
Wanted to give an update on Pack a Sack! So far, all is going smoothly with the addition of Webb Middle school and they are very grateful to be part of the ministry and have been thrilled to work with us to provide. We are currently serving 190 children PER WEEK. 100 for Dickinson, 50 for Town n’ Country and 40 for Webb. What a blessing our church is to our community. With 190 children – we are certainly in need of a lot of inventory. We continue to collect the following food items if you’d like to
participate. You can bring to the church during normal business hours or drop on Sundays. We have some shelves in the copy room so feel free to place there.

If you are able and want to help, we are always in need of the following:
 Small boxes of raisins
 Juice boxes or pouches
 Peanut Butter Crackers – sleeves of 6

If you would like to come and help us pack, we’d love to have you. If you have a small group (company team building, girl scout troop, bible study group) we can arrange for a time for your group to come in and pack! It’s fun and very rewarding. We pack at various times so feel free to be in touch with Jamie if you think you might be interested. Cell 813-967-3800 or [email protected]

Thank you again for all the love and support –

A Prayer for the first week of Lent

Heavenly Father may You grant us to comprehend your holy Word according to your divine will, that we may learn from it to put all confidence in You alone, and withdraw from it all other creatures; moreover, that also our old man with all his lusts may be crucified more and more each day, and that we may offer ourselves to you as a living sacrifice, to the glory of your holy name and to the edification of our neighbor, through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Our apologies that there was no livestream and recording of last week's sermon due to lack of internet. The issue has been corrected and we are up and running for next week.
