Happy Fathers Day

PASTOR'S NOTES

Hello Wesley,

I thought it would be a good idea to summarize all of the clues for the treasure hunt coming up next week. At least this would give everyone a chance.

1. Something in the sanctuary that the church has syncretized
2. The source of true wisdom and the only book on the top shelf
3. We do this to magnify our spiritual growth
4. What is missing from google's definition of wisdom.
5. 860.5.20 The law reveals ____________
6. 103 vs. 2 Light is ___________
7. The true light of the world.
8. What we use to see if we look good.
9. God's gift to see how God views us.
10.This final clue will be given June 26. So pay attention.

I have had a lot of fun putting these clues together and hassling everyone about the answers. Remember the potluck June 26 in the fellowship hall. Church will provide the meat and drinks along with plates, silverware and cups. We all bring something to share: casserole, salad, dessert, etc... Looking forward to the fellowship.

I love being your pastor.

Ernie

let's celebrate
Edwards
Tom and Jane Edwards will be moving to Birmingham, Alabama to be closer to their family. They are long time members of Wesley who were always in the mix-of-things, helping wherever and whenever needed. Tom's leadership in the Council of Ministries was amazing. A huge job he was always willing to help and lead. Jane was one of the 'Ding-A-Lings' that just breezed through her music and a huge asset to our Hand Bell Choir.

Everything they did for Wesley was through their love for their church, others and especially love for our Lord. Tom was Chair of Council of Ministries, a HOPE Network Member, known for his Children's Moment in the traditional Sunday Service and leader of the Annual Ministry Fair. Jane was a superior bell ringer, UMW member, Pecan Fund Raiser and member of Pastor Ernie's morning Bible Study. Both Tom and Jane were former Youth Leaders at the church over 30-40 years ago!

Needless to say, they are going to be greatly missed. We ask that they will be filled with Christ's blessings as they venture forward to their new Alabama Home!
If you would like to have an event or celebration (birth, graduation, marriage, etc.) added to the ANNOUNCEMENTS section, please email [email protected] , including description of announcement along with any photographs.

Dmytri and Shasha Shapovalvas
Dmytri and Shaska Shapovalvac
This is the mother and father of the Shapovalov family. I have had the great fortune of being Mama Sasha's Netpal. Together we have walked through the valley of the shadow of death while the Russians occupied their region. Their lives consisted of last minute dashes to the basement when the shelling got close. We would pray for Papa Dymtri, a physician, who served at the area hospital, praying he would arrive home alive. The family finally escaped their home after four tries with six children in tow. They slept in schools and church basements that were unheated as they made their way to escape Ukraine. Now they are in Poland with two sponsors in the US who have demonstrated a financial commitment to host them for up to two years. They will relocate to Vermont at the Agape House of Mercy. Your prayers make this a reality for them.
This week I recieved the following text from Shaska:
Thank you, you are a very important person in our lives because you were there during the most difficult period of our lives. In 100 days you have become not just a prayer friend, but part of our family. We often remember your phrases said to us in difficult circumstances, how they helped us. Sometimes your words were refreshing as a board, strengthening like a stone, with humor and love. I don't know how I would have survived without your support.

Thank You to all who are serving as a Netpal!
