My grandson Dominic and his new wife Jillian in the beautiful mountains of Zion National Park. I can see why Teddy Roosevelt wanted to preserve such a place. The place was just stunning and I have a couple of stories for Sunday. We flew in and out of Las Vegas and on the way home we walked the strip and today I am completely astounded by the contrast between the two places. I began asking the question: where can I more easily see God? The answer for me was so obvious and almost too simple.

Today I am thinking God is better at creating things that inspire awe than humans are. Though I must say, seeing Dominic and Jillian interact was pretty awesome. Watching my son's family help each other when our flight was cancelled, amazing. It came to me that the greater things we do have to do with relationships rather than accomplishments. Good lesson there for all of us. See you Sunday.

Ladies, sign up now for a 6 week study of Colossians followed by a 6 week study of James with Community Bible Study. We meet at 9:45 am or 6:30 pm on Wednesdays, both in person in the FLC or online. Great children's program up to 8th grade in person on Wed. mornings. Make some new friends to share your spiritual journey.

Due to renovations in the hallway, office and sanctuary we will be meeting in the Fellowship Hall for both, Traditional- 9am and Contemporary- 11:15am- Worship Services. If you have any questions please call the office at 813-769-9157.

The Nomads will be here at Wesley working on our renovations in the sanctuary, starting January 24th for about 6 weeks. As a token of our appreciation we would like to provide them with lunch daily. Jensen, Marilyn and Nadia completed their Bonhoeffer Project Cohort last weekend with a powerful retreat. They celebrated a year long leadership development commitment. They were focused on reclaiming the discipleship-first gospel, crafting a disciple-making plan for their ministries for the goal of partnering with Jesus to change the world! The baton was passed to them to be disciple-makers!!! Just as Jesus commanded "Therefore, GO and MAKE disciples of all nations..." Matthew 28:19

God has allowed me the privilege of sending out requests, since the day we did it by phone. However, now to bring the system up to giving new people the opportunity to serve in this manner, we're trying to change the way we do things. We are asking that instead of emailing me a prayer request, you can email the Church office ([email protected]) or use the link below (in blue) to enter your prayer requests on the Wesley Prayer Wall that is connected to the website. The steps on how to enter a request are featured below as well. If you could please help me in spreading the word on this change, I would greatly appreciate it.

We will no longer be having the Salvation Army Donation Drop Box here at Wesley. Unfortunately, there have been items that are too large being left outside of the Drop Box that couldn't be collected and it has become an eye sore & a difficult job for the Salvation Army workers. Below is a link for anyone that would like to schedule a pick up for donations through the Salvation Army.
