It is great to be back home and thank you for the time I had with my parents. I am excited to get to work on the future for Wesley. We have been talking about transformation for the individual soul and this week I begin transitioning to transformation in the church.
|
Sunday I plan to look at people Jesus helped change and at how the religious people responded to the transforming power of Jesus. Many times Jesus met people and touched them and almost always people were watching. Sunday I am going to focus attention on the people who are watching and how they respond to Jesus. Jesus is very deliberate about having these conversations with the religious people of the day. I look forward to sharing with you.

FRIDAY NIGHT SONG & PRAYER GATHERING
|
Friday, June 23 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm
|
We had a great meet up of 18 people last Friday and a very special time lifting up our church. We started out with casual song leading into guided prayer with individuals also sharing their personal prayers The Holy Spirit was moving.
|
We hope that even more people will join us this Friday! Churches that pray together in unity are strengthened to face the spiritual war that surrounds us in this world and to focus on what God has called us to be as the church.
|
Our prayers will be focused on strengthening church unity, lifting our Pastor up, as well as prayers for our ministries, leadership and members.
|
Please make every effort to join us this Friday night!

Rides will be provided for those who do not drive at night.

Ladies, join us for a 7 week study of God's Amazing Book, from June 28 to August 9! This study has been prayerfully designed for those who know nothing about Jesus or the Bible, those who are new to the idea of a weekly Bible study and those who'd like a chance to get a taste of what the Community Bible Study is like. Even those who have been studying the Bible for a while will find a refreshing new way to experience the overview of the Bible!

FATHER'S DAY CELEBRATION

We had a great Father's Day Celebration last Sunday complete with cake and punch and a button pin for Dads. There were two toddler baptisms during first service!

20 youth and 5 adults took off last Monday to Camp Real-life Vero Beach! Please be in prayer for a life changing trip for our youth and their leaders!

Last week Tracey Shadday and Renee Kincaid went to Cuba-Max to send 55 lbs of medicines and miscellaneous to Cuba.
|

^ Pastora Darielis’ kidney stone pains. She has been taking the medicines Wesley sent her and the stones are being crushed/removed and that’s painful
|
|
^ the Duranona church to be able to get the materials they need to install the water system purifier

^ pastoras travel to Havana for Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Cuba
|
^ restoration of hair follicles for Keiler, 4 year-old boy in Duranona- Doctors say there is treatment for this ailment

A Prayer to Trust God When You Don't Understand
Father, You alone are sovereign. You are Almighty and Perfect in all Your Ways! “Lord, I believe. Help me overcome my unbelief.” (Mark 9:24)
Please forgive me. In this sin-filled world, it’s easy for me to question all the pain and suffering people endure. God, I don’t understand why You allow some of the horrible evil things that happen. Yet, I trust You. I trust Your wisdom and power. I trust Your righteousness and compassion. I trust Your love even when life hurts.
You were patient with Job when he didn’t understand how You could allow him to lose everything . . . his family, his wealth, his health. And after you allowed him to ask countless questions, You invited him to pause and consider some questions from You, and Job responded: “I know that You can do anything, and no one can stop You.”
[LORD] You asked, “Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorance?”
“It is I—and I was talking about things I knew nothing about, things far too wonderful for me. I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.” Job 42:2–3,5)
Thank you for Your patience. God, even though I don’t understand all Your ways today . . . I trust You, and I know that some day when I see You face to face the only thing that will matter is the way You loved and protected my soul for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
