a note from Pastor Ernie
Hello Wesley!

Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow. — Psalm 144:4

Thought
Time is so precious - time with our families, children, parents, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. How do you invest your time? Where do you invest it? You know, our time is really more valuable than the money we invest. Once the present time and its opportunities are gone, they can't be reclaimed. So as you begin each day, ask God that you will be able to "know the time," to see it for what it is, and to use it for its greatest good. Time passes quickly, and like the shadows of early evening, it's not long before it is absorbed into the gathering darkness of night.

This thought has never been more real to me than these last few weeks. I was fortunate to be mindful of this most of my life and now it has been hammered home. Each minute we have with a loved one is precious. We all make grand plans for the future not aware that another day is no guarantee. Be certain to do all that you can today with those you love.

I love being your pastor,
Ernie

TUESDAY, APRIL 18TH FROM 9AM - 11AM

Tuesday, April 18th is our on-going gathering to pray for our church “for such a time as this”. I hope you will join me there, even for a short while. We will pray for those appointed to guide in righteous decisions the destiny of our church- Pastor and Administrative Board members. Pray that, in these troubling, times, they will come, in unity, to Godly decisions at their next meeting.

The last 15 minutes of our gathering tomorrow will be for prayer requests received during our time at the sanctuary. Wesley church sanctuary will be open for prayer from 9 am to 11 am; but, if you are not able to come to the church, wherever you are, please lift up your words of prayer to our Almighty God for insight and unity,

A Prayer for our church leaders

"Holy Father, help our church leaders to be brave, bold, and on fire for You. You are the commander of this ship, and we ask that as your sails lead us in the right direction, to give our leaders the courage to stand up for Your Truth and not bend to others who may be complacent. Let us not give in to the culture and be like everyone else. We want to be what You want us to be, both as a child of God and as a church, and we trust You to show us the way and provide for the needs. In Jesus name we pray, Amen."
