Pastor's Notes to Wesley
|
All of my life I have prepared far in advance every sermon, sometimes years ahead. After two years of study, we are drawing to a close with our study of Luke and until recently, I had no plan moving forward, until two weeks ago. Starting in January, we will be studying Romans and asking some of the tough questions that need to be asked, questions Paul presents to the church. This will be an exhilarating study as we seek to establish sound doctrine in a very morally diverse world. So to begin, I will need M & M’s, lots of them, all different kinds. I would prefer the small bags so I can have a large variety. (These are not for me to eat, but of course I probably will eat some of them….most of them….maybe all of them.)

I am working through the holidays planning and preparing the first draft of the messages, so please be in prayer for me. Between now and then, we have some very important things happening. We are currently in our JOY of GIVING stewardship campaign. I am excited to see how far we have come as a church. Every person matters so please participate.
|
We are having one Christmas Eve service at 7:30 and will have a traditional candlelight service. If you plan to watch from home, you can pick up a candle for the candlelight service from the church office. Just swing by the church Monday-Thursday 9 am – 3 pm, except for Christmas Eve day, December 24.
|
We are at a great moment. God is working and moving among His people and it is soon Christmas. How much better can it get?

Please add a reminder to your calendar that Klassika will present Special Music at Wesley UMC on December 13th during the Worship Service at 11:15AM. Not too long ago, Joland Nels sang in our church during a Sunday Service. This time, she will be joined with the rest of the group, introducing Chris Romeo, Derek Roura, and Stephanie McCranie.
