Quote of the Week

Blessed is He
"Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey." - - Zechariah 9:9

Pastor's Notes to Wesley
Hello Wesley,

I was recently reading Isaiah 52 and came across a familiar verse: “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say , ‘YOUR GOD REIGNS!’” Isaiah 52: 7. When I was first introduced to contemporary music, we sang a song, Our God Reigns.” I can remember just how moving it was to sing this verse from Isaiah. Imagine living in a time and in a country where all the news was bad. There was disease, starvation, the city was being laid waste, enemies were burning the towns and villages, homes were burned to the ground, businesses closed. Every day people would wait to hear what bad thing was next.

When all around us seems ugly and all news is bad, bad, bad, then think about what Isaiah tells us, “how lovely are the feet of those who bring good news.” You say, “there is no good news.”

Turn off the TV and drop the ipad. Put the phone down and hear the words of Isaiah. I proclaim unto you there is good news OUR GOD REIGNS!

Have a blessed day,
I love being your pastor,
Pastor Ernie
