Last week our kitchen faucet broke and I decided to replace it with a touch faucet to help Ashley when she tries to cook. So I took the broken faucet out and threw it away and went to Home Depot and bought a touch faucet. Took the new faucet home and realized there were extra pieces that I really did not want to use. So I set everything aside and went to call a plumber to fix it all.

Ryan happened to be there and asked if maybe he could give it a try when he got home from work. So when he got home he sat down and read the instructions. After about five minutes he said, "it's done." Sitting in my chair something dawned on me. I REALLY DO NOT LIKE READING INSTRUCTIONS! This little episode helped me again realize that not reading instructions can be costly. And I would rather pay someone to do something I can do myself simply because I do not like reading instructions.

In all likelihood I would probably be the same way about my spirit if I did not have people for whom I am responsible. God has given us an instruction manual. We need to read it, learn it, and apply it. I wonder how many of us would just rather pay someone else to understand it and fix things. I needed Ryan that day. And quite honestly we all need other people to help us in our spiritual journey. Find a group of 12, like minded people who want to understand the instruction manual. There are many at Wesley and more will be forming. Recently my daughter and Ryan found a group of 12 on line, other couples with children who want to learn together. Already they have started to live life together as they learn from Jesus. Find a group of 12 or form one. God will equip you for success. IT is not what you know, it is Who you know.

We will no longer be having the Salvation Army Donation Drop Box here at Wesley. Unfortunately, there have been items that are too large being left outside of the Drop Box that couldn't be collected and it has become an eye sore & a difficult job for the Salvation Army workers. Below is a link for anyone that would like to schedule a pick up for donations through the Salvation Army.

Amanda and Steve Olson just celebrated their 34 year anniversary this past Sunday October 3rd, 2021. We are so blessed to have this beautiful couple as part of the Wesley family! May God continue blessing and strengthening your marriage!
