Pastor's Notes to Wesley

|
Psalms are the go to for many people of faith. In them we find faith raw, in the moment, as the trouble and the victory are happening. Psalm 89:9-13 reads,
|
|
You rule over the surging sea;
|
|
When its waves mount up, you still them.
|
|
You crushed Rahab like one of the slain;
|
|
With your strong arm you scattered your enemies,
|
|
The heavens are yours, and yours also the earth;
|
|
You founded the world and all that is in it.
|
|
You created the north and the south;
|
|
Tabor and Herman sing for joy at your name.
|
|
Your arm is endued with power;
|
|
Your hand is strong, your right hand exalted.
|
I get such a sense of assurance from psalms like this. God really does have all of this, all of my life, all of yours. The mountains themselves sing. Praising is the least I can do. Going on a praise walk tomorrow.

Wesley's GodGang was so blessed by going to Camp Anderson! We felt God's presence all over Camp Anderson's beautiful campus. The staff was abundantly loving and welcoming. We were told that this camp was a mission field & summer camp in one. Camp Anderson hosted at least 100 children from the foster care system. Counselors and students had the opportunities to speak the word of God to the unreached & unchurched. God is so good & so mighty! We were able to participate in a variety of activities such as: kayaking, dance, paintball, riverboat adventure, seeing caves, archery, painting, and so much more! The worship experience stirred up the fire of Holy Spirit within us. Pastor Robert Martin spoke God's truth to the students from Mon-Fri as the preacher of the week. He did an amazing job preaching the gospel in a way that penetrated straight to the students' hearts.

We had many of the students recommit their lives to Jesus, 7 baptisms, 1 new profession of faith in Jesus! Jesus was moving in a mighty way! We got to see Him work in our personal lives and in the lives of all the students that attended! There were a total of about 450 students total at the first week of Camp Anderson!
|
|
Thank you Wesley for all of the prayers and support you gave us to make this experience happen. We love our church and we love being part of God's Kingdom Family. We ask that you continue to pray for GodGang, Camp Anderson and all of the unreached. We hope you can make it to church on Sunday to hear about our experience from the lips of the students! Wesley Members, Jaime & Wesley Kulaga, celebrated their 15 year anniversary with a beautiful vow renewal on May 29th, 2021! They celebrated their renewal with their 2 sons, Wesley & Blake along with their closest friends and family. Let's cover them in loving prayer for many more years of marriage!

Congratulations to Isaiah Angeles for graduating High School with Honors! Parents, Melissa Angeles and Jorge Angeles are so proud of all his efforts! Isaiah graduated from Tampa Technical High School from the Architecture program with Honors! He is headed to HCC to continue his education in Mechanical Engineering. Let us be in prayer for what God has instore for this faithful young man.
