|
Students are graduating, new hope on the horizon. This is a great time of the year. Last year my grandson had a drive thru graduation. At least this year most actually met. You might think that is progress, unless you have been to a large graduation ceremony and waited three hours for them to get to the P’s. And then listened to the valedictorian ramble on about how she was going to conquer the world….Yikes.

But there is still something refreshing about the hope. There is something meaningful in celebrating hope, something wonderful about tossing the cap into the air, something mysterious about walking into tomorrow with far less baggage than you will soon have. Such freedom…
|
|
Perhaps we might learn something from all of those valedictorian speeches. When was the last time you felt like you could conquer the world? Realists like me can have trouble with hope. But people of faith, realists or not, know hope is a gift and we are grateful for it.
|
Take a minute today to seize the hope God has placed in you. For a moment, go to the place where you throw your cap in the air and scream in joy for tomorrow.
