Pastor's Notes to Wesley

Hello Wesley,

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2 I am so glad Jesus wants to keep changing me. I have come so very far in my transformation and am always aware there is more work to be done. You and I live in a world filled with people who find fault in others. Everything seems to be someone else’s fault. So I thought I would take some transformation targets from new testament writers and allow them to sit with you.
Be persistent in doing good
Seek Glory for God and not yourself
Long for God’s praise rather than man
Be conscious of your own faults
God has justified you through Jesus
Accept the gifts God sends your way
The promise comes by faith
God gives life to the dead
God calls things that are not into being and they become
God pours His love into our hearts
Our old self was crucified with Jesus
You are controlled by the Spirit
The Spirit interceded for us
God works for the good of those who love Him
We are more than conquerors
Nothing in all creation can separate us from God
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved
God’s gift and call are irrevocable
Cling to what is good
Be joyful in hope
Patient in affliction
Faithful in prayer
Accept those who are weak
All of this is ahead of us in Romans.

I love being your pastor,
Ernie

the 12
The Bonhoeffer Project is coming to Wesley! But first we are looking for 12 disciples that are ready to take their faith to the next level. Is it you? We ask for prayers for whom God is calling to participate in this ministry.
The Bonhoeffer Project is based on a cohort model that involves monthly gatherings for a max of 10 months. During these meetings, participants will share what they’ve learned, focus on specific topics, and work to implement what you are learning in real-time life experiences. For more information please click on the link below.
