Quote of the Week
“I think the reason we sometimes have the false sense that God is so far away is because that is where we have put him. We have kept him at a distance, and then when we are in need and call on him in prayer, we wonder where he is. He is exactly where we left him.”― Ravi Zacharias

With a Bee-Attitude, the busy bee works hard to look for flower plants, farm crops, and fruit trees with the purpose of bringing honey back to the beehive. The busy bee also shares the good news to the other bees so they too can go and bring honey back to the beehive. We know now that it takes many busy bees to make a beehive. We can say that Christians are like busy bees who become honey bees when they learn about the Beatitudes. This Sunday, Mr Tom will share a lesson about 'Bee-Attitude' so the kids can grow to be more like Christ and soon they will share the Good News about Beatitudes.

SURPRISING LIGHT FOR THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
The beginning, not the end
The surprise of a “season of clear shining” has come with a possible — though painful — way for The United Methodist Church to deal with the 48-year-long debate regarding human sexuality and the inclusion of LGBTQ persons in the life of the church. The Council of Bishops announced that an ad hoc group of diverse leaders came to unanimous agreement on a Protocol of Reconciliation & Grace Through Separation. It’s offered in preparation for the General Conference that will meet in Minneapolis in May (2020).
The Protocol is the beginning, not the end, of the process that would need to be adopted by the General Conference and would take at least two-four years to accomplish. No one would say that it is “perfect” but it is what is currently “possible” for us to move through this conflict and pour our energies into the mission of “making discipleship of Jesus Christ for the transformation for the world.”
