We have an exciting week ahead of us. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week. Holy Week offers an opportunity for us to gather throughout the week to remember and honor the work of our Lord. On Thursday at 7 pm in our Holy Thursday service we will remember the Passover and share together in communion. We have a special guest classical guitarist, Jesse Leros, who will be providing some of the music. Friday at 7 pm we will remember the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for our sakes and look at some of the things that Jesus went through leading up to and after the crucifixion. Lacey Hubbard will share a dance at the end of the service entitled “Determination.” Easter Sunday, we have a wonderful celebration planned for all with dynamic music and a great spirit of hope. Invite your friends and family member to worship here at Wesley this week.
After Easter, we are offering an opportunity for baptism by immersion in the Gulf of Mexico on Saturday May 11. We will be meeting at a condo, 1250 Gulf Blvd, Clearwater 33767. The gate/box says 1230/1250 LANDMARK. We will meet at the building on the left. Please call the office and let us know you are coming. We have to give the security guard your name. We have also reserved the community gathering area by the pool and the grill to have lunch together. Bring something to eat and share and some drinks. Bring a bathing suit. We are at the beach!
On Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12, we will be receiving new members into the fellowship of Wesley. This will include adults and our two teen confirmands: Lacey Hubbard and Lester Pineda. If you would like to make Wesley your home church, just let the office know and pastor Ernie will get with you.

Who is Jesus? Why did He come to earth? How can I know Him? We live in a world where there’s a lot of confusion about Jesus. Too often people want to shape Him and His message to fit their personal needs or agendas. So how can we know the truth? Join Seamless author Angie Smith in this 8-session search for truth as she unfolds the story of our matchless Savior—His mission, miracles, and message. Through her signature wit and accessible style, Angie unpacks Scripture in a way that’s easy to understand, regardless of how long you’ve been studying the Bible (a great option for new believers!). This study will deepen your understanding of Jesus through biblical, historical, and cultural insight and help you see Him less as an iconic figure and more as an intimate friend.

Pack a Sack Update... We are moving right along with this school year and stay busy keeping shelves stocked and bags ready for delivery. We are up to 209 children per week which is amazing that we’ve been able to grow the ministry in such a wonderful way. Ernie stopped by the other day to pack a few bags with us so it was nice for him to see how the ministry has grown and changed. We were able to reminisce about how Pack a sack got started. Right now, we have a few immediate needs if you’d like to help: ● Juice boxes or pouches ● Small boxes of raisins ● Applesauce And of course, monetary donations are always welcome. If you have any questions about donations, or getting involved feel free to call Jamie at 813–967-3800

We sincerely appreciate your continued support and prayers!

Our goal is to get 40 people from Wesley there. We will be carpooling from Wesley. Contact Carol Dittmar at (813)499-7167 or [email protected].

ALTAR FLOWERS
Flowers, on or by the Altar for our Sunday worship services, would be a wonderful addition. Simply call or email the church office and let Terri Davis know the date and any particular colors wanted. We have a florist that gives us special pricing and they do a beautiful job. Flowers don’t always have to be in memory of a loved one. Think about celebrating an anniversary, someone’s birthday, graduation or best of all, given to the Glory of God. The office number is 813.469.9157 and the email [email protected]

This week Pastor Ernie referred to Isaiah 40 and how the prophet and others question how people can look around and not see God. Some of us are blessed with the understanding that faith is a gift from God. He offers it to everyone, but not everyone will accept the gift. You can listen to Coffee with Ernie every Tuesday morning on Facebook at 7:30am (give or take) or you can watch later.

A Prayer of Faith for Victory in Jesus
Heavenly Father, I praise and thank You for the glorious victory Christ gained through His death, burial and resurrection, breaking the power of Satan and sin in the lives of all who trust in Jesus' name and banishing death and hell forever in the lives of all who believe in Him. Father, I acknowledge that the victory is Christ's alone but thanks be to God, that by Your great grace You have given us that same wonderful victory, through our Saviour, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Father, although this glorious triumph was completed 2000 years ago, nonetheless it is as potent and powerful in the lives of believers today as it was when the angels declared, "He is not here - He is risen." Keep me ever looking to Jesus, knowing that this glorious victory has not lost any of its ancient power, but is the single means of overcoming the world, the flesh and the devil, for all believers who choose to abide in Him and He in them.
I pray that I will run the race that is set before me looking to Jesus, and that I may finish the course that You have given to me, as I yield through word and deed to the working of the Holy Spirit within. This I ask in Jesus' name,

PALM SUNDAY
"I Am the Good Shepherd" 10:00 am Sunday Worship Service Pastor Ernie Post
Please help the church save money on paper and printing by checking in virtually on Sunday Service and receiving a bulletin. The QR code will be posted on the outside and inside of sanctuary entries, in the pews, and at the coffee station. Give it a try and see if it works for you. Paper bulletins will still be available if preferred.
*Please note: When registering for check in, it is only required to input one contact - cell phone OR email (although both are preferred.) All other requests are optional and can be bypassed by simply pressing the done button.
Additional Note: The bulletin can also be found on the Church website (https://wesleymemorial.net/bulletin/) in the CONNECT drop down menu . It is updated every week by the end of Thursday for the following Sunday.
If your phone is not pulling up current bulletin via the QR code on Sunday, it is likely you need to clear your cache (search history). To do this, open your search app, tap the three dot bar at bottom, tap history, then clear browsing data. Make sure cookies and site data has a check to the right as well as cached images and files. Then at bottom click "clear browsing data". Refer to google as some phones may differ. It is a good idea to clear the cache on your phone occasionally to keep your phone operating at its best.
*******Even if you prefer a paper bulletin, you can still sign in online in lieu of using a connect card. That still helps the church with printing costs.*********
