CUBA MINISTRY

A Cuba Ministry mission team just returned from a fruitful and awe-inspiring trip to Cuba. One of the districts that the team visited was Sierra Maestra (where our sister churches are located) to assess the damages caused by the recent earthquake on the different churches in that district.

The team sent Wesley members a brief report of their visit to Pastora Darielis at the Duranona Church. They shared about this young pastor who has led this church for a few years and has given evidence of great dedication in equipping the members in discipleship and evangelism. She and her family have been able to reach many in the community with the great help that Wesley MUMC has provided. and expressed much gratitude for the assistance and fellowship received from Wesley’s brothers and sisters.

As you can see from the picture, despite the destruction left by the earthquake, attendance to the church is increasing. Still there is much work to be done. If you wish to make a donation toward the repairs to their temple please make a check to Wesley MUMC with a note “Cuba account/repairs” or follow instructions given in the newsletter to send it through the Florida Conference.

Bishop Pereira (Methodist Church in Cuba) sends his gratitude to all of you who so passionately and selflessly work to assist our sister church partnerships in their time of need. Merry Christmas to all and may the Lord continue to bless this ministry that is impacting so many lives now and for eternity!
