November 25 - December 1,2024
As the coolness of November whispers the arrival of Advent, we find ourselves standing at the intersection of gratitude and anticipation.
This week, we begin gathering with our loved ones and reflecting on our blessings. We pause to reflect on the blessings that enrich our lives. Personally, I am deeply grateful for my wife and our three children. I am also thankful for you, my church family, and for your prayers, faithfulness, and our shared commitment to living out Christ's love together.
As Thanksgiving fades, we shift our gaze toward Advent. It is a season of preparation and hope—a time to make room in our hearts and homes for Christ, whose light dispels the darkness. Our Advent theme this year, "A Light Has Dawned" reminds us that even in the darkest moments, the radiance of God’s love breaks through and invites us into deeper faith, joy, and peace.
I invite you to join us as we embark on this sacred journey. Let us prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of Christ and welcome God’s light anew into our lives and our world. Together, we will walk in hope, remembering the words of the prophet Isaiah: "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned." (Isaiah 9:2)
May your Thanksgiving be filled with joy, laughter, and the warmth of God’s presence, and may the season of Advent awaken, in each of us, a sense of wonder, expectation, and gratitude for the greatest gift of all—Emmanuel, God with us.

Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday, a time with family and friends, often with food we enjoy and time to create a celebration where we can take stock of what is good in life. I like Thanksgiving because it offers the opportunity for moments of personal worship to God, when I give thanks. Read more here.
