Dear Friends,

Last Sunday, I invited you to find a verse or passage and meditate on it throughout the week. As I’ve journeyed through this practice myself, the powerful imagery in Psalm 1 has captivated me: "He shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season." It prompts a series of questions: What fruits am I yielding? How can I ensure that I am producing good fruit?

To bear fruit starts with intentionally spending time with God. We nurture ourselves through prayer, scripture, and moments of stillness where we open ourselves to God’s presence. These practices act as our roots, helping us stay grounded and connected to the source of life.

This might mean setting boundaries, prioritizing our spiritual well-being, or even stepping back from certain commitments to focus on our spiritual growth.

We yield fruit when we practice love, kindness, and compassion. The fruit of our connection with God should naturally spill over into how we treat others, how we serve, and how we reflect Christ's love in our everyday actions.

So, friends, as you reflect on your verse this week, ask yourselves: *What does my spiritual life need so that I may yield fruit in season? How am I nurturing myself to become more like the tree planted by streams of water?

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday. And don’t forget to invite someone to church.

Blessed Love,

Rev. Ontonio
