I pray this message finds you all safe and well after tropical storm Debby.

I hope everyone made it through without significant trouble.
|
A special thanks to the Scouts who came out on Tuesday to help clear the debris around our campus. If anyone needs assistance or support, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the church office. We are here for you, and together, we will weather any storm.
|
This week, I am deeply encouraged by the vibrant energy of young parents preparing their children to start at Bridges Preschool next week. It’s a joy to witness the excitement and anticipation in the air, and hear the laughter of little ones running through the pews.
|
This Sunday, we will celebrate our Blessing of the Backpacks. We will gather to pray for God's blessings upon our children, teachers, and school administrators as they embark on a new academic year. Let us come together in unity, faith, and love, and lift our community up to God for guidance in all that we do.
|
|
As we prepare for this special moment, let us hold onto the promise of Psalm 121:8:
|
|
"The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."
|

Please consider becoming a Communion Steward, by serving communion to those unable to attend our worship services and bringing them Christ's love. A prepackaged communion box is available to deliver the first Sunday of the month after the Worship Service to a member who is unable to attend in person.

CHRISTMAS SHOEBOXES: For August, please bring in spiral notebooks. Drop off boxes at sanctuary entries.

CUBA MINISTRY: Collecting OTC medicines to be shipped to our sister churches. Drop off on marked shelf in copy room (across from church office).
HOMELESS MINISTRY: Collecting T-shirts for men and women as well as bath towels. Drop off bins in copy room.
PACK-A-SACK: Please consider sponsoring a child for the upcoming school year who receive a bag of food to take home on the weekend. Details to follow.

RUTH CIRCLE : Collecting diapers, wipes, toiletries and educational supplies for Children's Home Network. Drop off bin in copy room.

Please join us for Friday NIght Song & Prayer this Friday, August 9 from 7-8pm. We will be praying for our new pastor, Rev. Ontonio, our church, our leaders, our ministries, our community, and our nation. Personal congregational prayers are offered towards the end of the meeting. All are welcome! Wednesday Night Live offers children 4 years thru fifth grade to experience a lesson via Bible lessons, games, music, craft and fellowship. They start with a lite dinner and follow with a music and dance activity, a craft and some time in the gym. All activities are designed to develop Godly wisdom, behaviors and discipline.

Please join us for an organizational meeting for our Wesley Network for HOPE ministry on Monday, August 26. This is a meeting to build relationships and prepare for our Fall listening process and convention. All are invited to come out and get involved in this ministry!
