Dear Friends, It is a privilege being your pastor and worshipping alongside you each week. Last week, we read from John’s Gospel, where Jesus took what the disciples thought was insufficient and used it to feed 5,000 people (John 6:1-21). We concluded that God will use the little we have in mysterious and wonderful ways.
I hope this week you have experienced God's abundance in your lives, whether through unexpected blessings, moments of peace, or the support of our community. I encourage you to lean on God’s promise in Philippians 4:19: “God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
I look forward to seeing you this Sunday as we delve deeper into the Gospel of John. Let us gather with open hearts and minds, ready to receive and share God's word and Holy Communion.
Let us pray: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your boundless love and provision. We are grateful for the way You take our humble offerings and use them to do mighty works. Help us to trust in Your abundance and to see the ways You are moving in our lives. Bless our community with unity, love, and deepening faith as we continue to seek You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Blessings, Rev. Ontonio

UPDATE FROM JAMIE WRIGHT
Happy Summer everyone! We are in communication with the participating schools over the summer and getting all in order to start up the Pack-a-Sack Program again once school starts.
As many of you know, we service Dickinson Elementary, Town n’ Country Elementary and Webb Middle School. We provide food bags (delivered on Fridays) to children who are considered chronically hungry. Most often, these children are only fed at school and when they return home there is nothing or very little to eat. That’s where Wesley comes in. We provide milk, juice, breakfast items, protein, and snacks. We are provided a number of bags needed per school by the school case workers/guidance counselors, etc. This usually takes a few weeks for the staff to identify those in need, then get their numbers together and communicate with us. With that, we usually start delivering right around Labor Day…we’ll keep you posted.
We are hoping to start a sponsor a child program, where you can commit to either $25- $30/month and that will support 1 child in our program for a month. We are still ironing out details on this but we are hoping to launch it soon.
Shaun Black handles the communication with schools and delivery volunteers. Shaun is in need of delivery drivers this school year. The commitment is usually about an hour or hour and half on Fridays. Pick up the bags from Wesley and deliver to the 3 schools, so it’s normally 10:30-11:30’ish. If this is of interest, feel free to chat with Shaun at church or reach out via email: [email protected]
On behalf of Shaun and I and all the PAS volunteers, we thank you for all your continued support of the Pack-a- Sack ministry. We are grateful for your support and prayers!

The Nurture Ministry needs volunteers the first Sunday of the month to serve communion to those unable to attend worship service. We have prepared Communion boxes under the altar with the elements and the written Communion service.
Communion Stewards take a box to an assigned individual, either someone in assisted living facility, nursing home, or in their own home.
Please consider becoming a Communion Steward, by serving communion to those unable to attend our worship services and bringing them Christ's love. It is a very rewarding ministry and those who have served in the past say they come away feeling they are the ones blessed!
